Outside kitchen of the doctor's house

The doctor's house is the smallest guest house, just 1 (bed)room and a bathroom with a simple shower. The kitchen is really small, too small to cook normally, so we already place the fridge outside and a gas cooker on top of it. But still it was not really satisfactory to us, no complaints of the guests who stayed there, but we believed that it should be better, more spacious. Another issue which concerned us was the fact that a main pump control unit was just on the right side of the fridge. Regularly we have to be there to turn the irrigation system on or off. We felt we were intruding the privacy of our guests, even though they of course said they did not mind at all - who would. The idea came up to create the access to the irrigation pump control house on the backside of the doctor's house. This would also make it possible to create a much wider worktop, just before the opening of the former irrigation control house. For this we also needed to extend the roof over the terrace with 2 meter.I can tell you that this was not a simple and quick weekend job, it took many weeks. Not that we have been working on it continuously, it's impossible with so many issue which need timely attention. But today we can hang out the flag as the job has been done! And it really looks great and we can't wait to invite our next guests to use it.

Apart from this many projects are ongoing, but none of these is worth writing about - although this post is also not one of the most exiting ones I have written. This morning I had the idea to write about the ever increasing number of laws, regulations, requirements. licenses, approvals.... . I encounter problems with this every day. Everyone has been bothered the past months with email notifications about updated privacy policies and terms of use of all webservices you are using (GPDR). F**CK off with this, has anyone of you ever followed it up, checked if you would agree or not or even went one step further and said : "NO, I cannot accept your new Privacy Policy or Terms of Use". And if you would not agree you simply cannot use the service. What would you chose, give up using Gmail and use another email service provider - who would most likely have the same articles you would not like to agree with ? If you have children and they would ask you what type of profession you would advise them to chose which would be in demand I would say 'lawyer'.
