Stone & Thistle Farm, a pasture-based livestock farm in East Meredith, NY Delaware County) raises 100% grass-fed beef, lamb, goat, pork and poultry for sale at farmers markets. The farm operates a farm stay, seasonal restaurant (Fable=farm+table) for events, farm tours and workshops. Responsibilities may include livestock care, on-farm poultry slaughter, farmers markets sales, agri-tourism and value-added food processing. Desired skills are enthusiasm, creative thinking, problem solving, carpentry, veterinary, physically fit and excellent social skills

Tom and I have been married for 35 years. We have three children. Riley is 29. He lives nearby and works on the farm. His daughter spends a lot of time with us on the farm. Shane is 21. He lives and works on the farm. Our daughter Kate trains horses in Pennsylvania. We enjoy food, friends, outdoor activities, music, theatre, arts.
Private room in farmhouse or/and private tent on platform in pasture.
Breakfast is make your own in the farmhouse kitchen. We eat lunch together (family and farmhands). Our family (you would be part of the family) eat dinner together. Or not. Your choice.
Hourly wage and or stipend depends on length of stay, skill set, etc.
