About the workproject

We need 3 volunteers

Greetings! I welcome you to my home and small organic business, a cafe where we serve delicious vegan and vegetarian foods. After nearly 15 years living in the jungle, close to nature and starting my own organic farm, I have moved into the charming town of Samaipata, Bolivia to start the cafe. It is located at the convergence of the Amazonian lowlands and the Andean Altiplano and is a very special place.

Here ate the cafe, we offer delicious vegan and vegetarian foods and all hand-crafted products made with love and a close connection to the earth. We are affiliated with other like-minded farms and artisans of healthy foods and products and sell their items in the cafe.

I live in harmony and integrity with my environment and invite you to share time with me, learning how to prepare wonderful food both in flavor and in health. Thank you for your interest in volunteering with us!

Help needed: We are looking for happy spirited people with good attitude who are eager to learn about healthy foods. If you have experience in cooking or you love to cook, even better ! There is work making vegan and vegetarian food, working with customers, placing products and cleaning in the shop. At home, there is work preparing meals for everyone. I expect people to work 6 hours a day, 6 days a week and then the rest of your time you can use as you like to visit Samaipata and the surroundings. Most importantly, is an eagerness to learn because I want to share my knowledge of how to prepare healthy food for everyone.

In general, I prefer volunteers to stay for a minimum of two weeks after a trial period of a few days. If everything is positive for both parties, up to a month long stay is possible.

Accommodation and Food: There is a shared bedroom for volunteers who will also have their own bathroom. We will prepare and eat together for breakfast and lunch. Food will be provided for volunteers to prepare their own dinners. All food is vegetarian or vegan.

Valuable exchange: Volunteers will benefit from the opportunity to work here for the knowledge they will gain about happy living and preparing healthy food. They will learn many delicious recipes for yogurts, pastries, empanadas, juices, coffee as well as how to organise kitchens to manage food, spices, seeds, nuts, dried and powdered fruits and herbs as well as many all natural goods.

Moreover, this is a remarkable area where the Andean Altiplano converges with Amazonian lowlands, there are lots of wide open spaces for hiking, sites of archaeological significance dating back nearly 2000 years, rock art from ancient cultures, and picturesque lands for exploring the marvels of Madre Tierre and a community of kind people which brings travelers from all over the world to enjoy the pleasant life of Samaipata, Bolivia. We look forward to you joining us here! Thank you!

I was born in Cochabamba and lived in Santa Cruz. For nearly 15 years, I lived in the jungle, desiring to be close to nature. During that time, I created an organic farm. Now I live in the charming town of Samaipata with my three children offering delicious, healthy food, selling the quality products of other local farmers and culinary artisans. I enjoy sharing my knowledge of plants and food as well as peaceful, joyful and healthy living with others.
