I own a National Historic Register mansion in northern Maine, which I operate as an Inn. I need help for the winter, my health could be better. Winter is brutal here, 50 degrees in any room of the mansion qualifies as a heat wave. Lots of wood to load into stoves, snow to shovel. We don't use oil except for hot water every 3rd day. EVERYTHING in village is within 2 blocks of mansion, no car needed. Not for the faint of heart
And when Winter is over? I have long looked for a male model, artist, athlete, dancer, etc. who wants to make the mansion his base of operations. An MMA type would fit in best in our northern forest region. He could set up a low key website, model for artists, attract clients for himself and business for the Inn. Between gigs, he can putter around in the butterfly preserve grounds or start a garden, an antique shop, fitness class, art gallery - whatever.
Cat, kittens and small dog on premises. shared food, etc. HARD DRUGS AND ALCOHOL FROWNED UPON.
I realize many people of accomplishment are dazzling urbanites, and our rural venue might horrify them, but just a tiny bit of thought about the prospects of our consumerist civilization will tell you to get off the beaten path. The simple advantage of living rent free adds up when you are trying to save money or launch a business.
If you've never wondered why you weren't living in a mansion, this probably isn't the place for you And if you cannot figure out how to use a million dollar mansion to launch a business, MacDonald's is probably hiring
