We are located in Tapolca-Diszel, in an old wine region, only 10km from the Lake Balaton. It was built in the 18th century, representing a purely classical piece of architecture. We moved to the region and started the reconstruction of this beautiful mansion and cool barn to found a social place to entertain and relax.
Stay with us for some gardening, easy reconstruction and housework to do for 4,5 hours a day. In the rest of your time you can enjoy all the summer activities what the region have in store. We have bikes to discover the world famous wine region with all the intimate wine cellars. You can do hiking tours in the surrounding hills, which are part of the World Heritage, or in the Hungarian Nation Parks with the volcanic mountain with steep basalt sides. Lake Balaton is a nice ride distance on bike and an other lake is in the neighborhood to have some chill and swimming in the hot Hungarian summer.
We have several festivals in the area during the summer all worth to go and visit for different purposes. Wine festivals to experience the feeling of Hungarian wine tasting. The closest and best known wine area is Badacsony. Cellars offering the finest wines of Hungary during the whole summer.
For cultural entertainment we recommend Kapolcs Fesztivál in the neighboring villages and Veszprém Feszt in the nice, intimate town of Veszprém ca. 30 minutes away by bus.
So you can find here a lot to see and do. Join us, there are still some free places.

A 3 level barn is already renovated and ready to host you. We have 4 separate rooms and a huge dormitory with beds and hammocks. (The mansion and the barn are near each other)
We prepare a meal (usually late lunch or dinner) and eat that together every day, but you have to serve yourself from the fridge for breakfast and lunch.
