About the workproject

We need 2 volunteers

We are a family run hostel, where two sisters and their husbands are involved actively in every aspect of the work at the hostel. Hostel Vagabond is located at a „prime“ location, in the very epicenter of all activities, in the central pedestrian zone of Ferhadija Street. We are less than 50-step walking distance from the old town area – Bascarsija, Turkish Ottoman-style bazaars, numerous restaurants and cafes. Despite of this, Vagabond is proud to be able to offer a perfectly quiet and calm refuge from both day-time and night-time street noise, which makes it a perfect choice of urban nomads.

Since Sarajevo is considered Jerusalem of the Europe, there is much to see culturally and locals are more than friendly, and most of Bosnians speak English.
Many tours through Sarajevo and surroundings are very popular, both culturally and historicly.

We need volunteer help during season May to September. Mainly we need someone who will help with night shift, promote parties and social activities and help with some housekeeping and cleaning (if needed) . Working hours would be up to 4-5 hours every day or every other day.

Night Shift: Help with night tasks to make the place relaxing for all guests

Party Promoter: Help to promote parties and social activities, tours

Housekeeping: Exchange and wash bed linens. Make the beds.

Reception: Help with check-ins, check-outs and attend to guests.

We have a room for volunteers with bunk bed. No one else is using that room, and our volunteers will have all the privacy needed. Food is breakfast and also most of the days lunch as well because we are starting with soup for all guests during the season. We also offer free laundry for staff and interesting tours we organize for guests.
