We need 1 volunteer
Our organic family winery is near the town of Assisi and we produce organic wines and olive using only our grapes and olive cultived on our lands without use of chemicals from generations.
Infact we have also an organic garden where we cultive fruits and vegetables for personal use and during the tasting.
As we there always is a lot to do on our winery (not only farm work but also helping with tourists) we are looking for a volunteer for a minimum period of one month. We would ask to workawayers to help in farming when it's season and in any tasks inside the winery like bottling, labelling and in receiving tourists during the tastings in our winery and especially help not only during the tastings but also in the cooking and cleaning.
Please note: You will have free time every day (plus one day off minimum per week in low season also 2 days) but tourist often arrive without advance notice so every work day is different.
Your main tasks will be:
• Welcome guests who arrive
• Be available in case people come without appointment
• Prepare the table and food (simple things like bruscetta)
• Make sure kitchen, table etc. is always clean
• Sweep terrace
• Serve tourists
• Help with bottleing wine etc.
We are looking for a reliable, sociable person with a positive work attitude and who also enjoys talking to our guests.
Accommodation
We offer to travellers an accomodation in the place of the tasting room of the winery with a private bedroom for two people with independent heating/refreshing system and a private bathroom and free use of the kitchen of the tasting room if they want to prepare themselves any kind of meal. The family lives in a separate house next to the tasting room (house).

the workawayers can walk in 5 minutes at the bus station of Capitan loreto/passaggio of Assisi from where there are buses for Assisi, Santa Maria degli Angeli, Rivotorto, Perugia, Spello, Foligno or they can walk in the middle of olives trees and vineyards until the near town of Assisi (50 minutes) or also the beautiful town of Spello (30 minutes) from whose train station you can arrive to other beautiful cities of Umbria as Perugia, Orvieto, Deruta, Foligno, Spoleto, Trevi ....
As our winery is situated in a quite remote place it is not always easy to visit other places (on Sundays for example there are no buses) but workawayers can also rent a bike. If we have time we can also drop them off or pick them up at the train stastion of Assisi or Spello. Or we can organize any transports with a local taxi for a good fare or rent for them a bike or electrical bike for a special price.

It's a family winery so all the family work in the winery but for the most part you will have contact with me Annalaura, daughter, and my mum Maria Palma. we try to continue the tradition of our family in making organic wine and olive oil from generations.

We offer simple and local food that you can enjoy together with us during the meals like dinner or lunch, other times we cannot share the meals because for work reason every member of the family eat a different times.
We offer this solution : the first month we don't offer money because you have to learn the tasks that we ask to do, from the second month if you stay well with us and like what you are doing , we offer a minimum wage to be discuss privately and to the second of actual workhours done.
