We need 3 volunteers
We need volunteers who can help students, who may be shy, or nervous about making mistakes, to feel at ease speaking their new language. You will be helping them with pronunciation, and will be correcting their errors. You will not have classes, or need to do any lesson preparation. We have an English language institute in the lovely town of Latacunga. All of our students are very motivated to learn English. Most are in their late teens and 20's, and are studying to get a better job, to travel, or for their university requirement, so they work very hard. We are looking for volunteers to give our students practice speaking English. You won't be teaching classes. You will be having 15-30 minutes conversations with students, one on one. You can speak maximum 2 hours a day, 3 days a week. Our institute offers you daily food and in your days off you can visit touristic places that our city has. You will have a large room, with private bathroom, wifi and tv. There is a full kitchen in the institute for you to use. There's a nice rooftop with views of THREE volcanos (when it's not too cloudy.) We need volunteers with excellent English ability to help our students practice speaking. .
Latacunga is a lovely town in a perfect location, very near Cotopaxi and Quilotoa, and less than two hours south of Quito.
Cotopaxi Volcano. It is among the world’s highest volcanoes. The distance between Latacunga city and Cotopaxi Volcano is about 90 kilometers (45 min). There you can see the remnants of ancient volcanic eruptions. Do you get tired while climbing at high altitudes? No worries, there is a refuge where you can eat or rest. Limpiopungo lake is at the north-west of the Cotopaxi volcano. There you can see a variety of flora and fauna. Another amazing place that is near Latacunga is the Cotopaxi National Park. This a perfect place to do activities such as; horse-riding, camping, hiking and so on. Quilotoa lake is another great location which is located 77.4 km ( 1 hour) from our beloved city. Travelers love to camp on the shore of this volcanic crater lake, light a fire, and admire the sunset.Another option for travel is Baños city which is 82 kilometers ( 1 hour) from Latacunga. It is a magical touristic place where you can do many extreme sports such as: canopy, kayak, puenting, biking, parapenting, climbing, trekking, canyoning and rafting, lots and lots of beautiful hiking!
