About the workproject

We need 4 volunteers

We are a cooperative working towards creating a self-sufficient, biodynamic haven for our people, animals (cows, sheep, chickens, bees and cats and dogs) and planet. We pride ourselves that we are producing highest quality dairy and other food products, ensuring that our members have access to such. We believe everyone should have access to such products - once you have tasted our milk you would never drink commercially sold milk again.

My name is Aletta and I've done it all - married and divorced, and I have a son, Gustav. My family bought this farm 20 years ago and after struggling for more than 10 years, more or less alone, I decided to try something different. We are now farming as the Afrikara Cooperative and slowly but surely my dreams are unfolding before my very eyes. For instance, last year we started homeschooling with one of the members of Afrikara who moved onto the land with her 2 beautiful daughters - and this year the total has already doubled. Farming and working animals are my passions, and it gets me up every morning at the crack of dawn or before. The success of the cooperative is what drives and inspires me.
