Welcome to Hostel Anton, our family-run hostel gazing over Tivat and Boka Kotorska (Kotor Bay). Imagine Greece but here the mountains are starker, they’re greener and they drop sharply into the tranquility of the bay.
The view is spectacular, but there’s more. We opened the hostel eight years ago; this is our labour of love. Our lounge is ringed by fruit trees and the walls are adorned with local artefacts or artwork donated by past visitors. Lounge probably doesn’t do it justice; it’s a place to relax, a place where time slows and your stay begins. It never quite feels empty, whether we’re catering for a large traveling group, families or individual backpackers. And no-one stays on their own for long.
Our hostel is rooted in art; we’ve welcomed and continue to welcome painters, musicians, sculptors and other creative souls, appealed by the warm welcome, the relaxation and the spirit of the place. In keeping with the mood – and contributing to it – we serve local food and drink every day. If you decide to draw yourself away from the hostel – beyond the roof terrace – take in the peaceful beaches along the front or wander further afield to nearby Kotor (7km away), a Unesco World Heritage Site, or travel down the coast to throbbing Budva or the expansive beaches of Ulcinj. Croatia and Bosnia-Hercegovina are in easy reach to the north; Belgrade is a short flight away, and Tivat’s central bus station, or indeed the airport, make connections quick and simple.

We are a family of 6, a couple with 4 children. My husband studies theology and I am a violin teacher. Our Hostel Anton is our home. We love having an international community of world travelers in our home.
In the summer and busy months we offer a bed in a shared room, during the out of the season months we offer a private room.
Often breakfast and dinner are provided, or we buy groceries for you to make your own food. If there are more volunteers they cook together.
