About me

We both like a bit of adventure and can turn our hand to many different things and love to learn about new subjects. Both very fond of animals and the outdoors and are happy, positive people.

Preferred location

Hi. We live part of the time in England and part in Brazil. In 2017 and will be in England from March 1st to September 30th and are looking for work in the UK, preferably in East Sussex. We're particularly interested in permaculture and organic but are also happy to work on other kinds of projects such as camp - sites.
We are starting a garden project for medicinal and edible plants based on permaculture principles, in North Portugal, where we plan a working 'retirement' in 2018, so we would also consider working in Portugal, as we'd like to get to know like-minded people in the country and to learn more skills.

Skills

Angela: I am very organised, proactive and responsible and am experienced in working with the public and people of different cultures. I am fluent in French and Portuguese and speak very good English. I like to look after children and teach and have a grown up son and daughter of my own. I am happy doing cleaning, cooking and shopping and love looking after animals, having many years experience with dogs and cats. I have started a course in growing and using medicinal herbs.
Malcolm; I'm a physical therapist by profession, trained in osteopathy, massage, kinesiology and other therapies and also a professional actor. I also trained as an EFL teacher and have been teaching English in Brazil for the last nine years. I have been studying an on-line course with the Open Permaculture School and am starting an online herbal medicine course with the College of Phytotherapy, UK. I'm a knowledgeable gardener and have experience in landscaping, stone, brick & block - work, walls,patios, steps, shed - building. fencing and tree - work, and have started a course on herbal medicine and also studied a course in the fundamentals of Permaculture. i have many years experience in horse - management and riding and have done certain kinds of farm - work. I also have a lot of painting and decorating experience. I have a lot of experience in the care of dogs, cats, hamsters, guinea pigs, rabbits, etc. I enjoy cooking and am very experienced at cleaning and housework!
