I can speak, read and understand French fairly well, though I'm a little out of practice. I like taking the opportunity to pick up new languages whenever I can, and I have little Spanish, German and Portuguese, though they need work!

About me

I'm a huge nerd and I love reading, board games and writing nonsense poems and fanfiction. I have undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in Classics and Ancient History and love visiting and learning about new places and their histories and cultures. Archaeological sites, museums and art galleries are the best! I also enjoy working with children and animals (and just people in general).

Preferred location

I would love to travel wherever I can, so I am open to any requests, including any in countries not listed below. My travel dates are also flexible, so please don't hesitate to contact me if they don't quite match.

Skills

I am a native English speaker with a TEFL qualification and experience in tutoring ESL students. I have also taught French and Latin. Additionally, I have a little German and Portuguese. I have worked in child care as an EYP and au pair (including with very young babies), and in the hospitality and refreshment industries and customer service. I have a Paediatric First Aid qualification and an NVQ in Childcare. I am also experienced in pet sitting, editing, proofreading, research, cleaning and ironing and tour guiding and I haave a little training in animal husbandry (ferrets, Giant African Snails, Madagascan Hissing Cockroaches, stick insects, butterflies, tarantula and scorpions). I am also willing to try new things, so please don't hesitate to contact me!
