I´m able to understand and write englsih with out any problem, i have the B2 level, i have been studying french since i was 6 till know, As spain is near to italy an Portugal i can understand a little bit of them.
my friend Silvia knows english very well because she has been studying it for near 10 years. she can also understaand as me as well italian and portuguese.
