I am a 25 year old female with a serious travel bug. I am Mexican-Canadian and fluent in both English and Spanish, however have lived most of my life here in Vancouver, Canada. I studied International Relations and Spanish at the University of British Columbia. I also studied Spanish Translation at UBC Continued Learning. Adding to that, I lived and studied in Granada, Spain for close to a year and have not been the same since.
I currently live in (expensive) downtown Vancouver, which has taught me to work hard for what I have. I have an adorable dog named Dexter (seen in my photos) who'll have no shortage of love in my absence.
I am a Padi Divemaster, so I have a real passion for the sea.
I live for new experiences and change. I am an open, laid back and insightful person. I love food, good people, animals, nature, and of course, TRAVEL.
I plan to travel around Central and South America as long and as much as possible and I am open to offer my help anywhere! Hosts located outside of my country list are welcome to contact me as well.
I have years of experience in guest relations and Customer Service as I help manage and serve in a high end restaurant chain in Vancouver. I work part time as a translator, fluent in both English and Spanish. I can offer interpretation and translation as needed! I also hold experience in pet care (cat and dog primary), working in pet supply and daycare. I love animals and would be thrilled to help care for them. Skills aside, I am open to learning and adapting to new environments. It doesn't hurt being easy going, patient and a fast learner!
I am not a smoker, I have a drivers license, I am a vegetarian and I have no allergies.
I like to say "flexitarian". Mostly no meat but I have my weak moments when it comes to seafood and poultry.
