I am a student from Russia who spends a year in France (that is why I marked that I am from France). Now I do my Ph.D. in Moscow, but I came from a small town Tomsk which is in Siberia. My hobbies are very different: cooking, embroidering, reading, languages learning, sport and traveling. Languages learning is a very important part of my life as far as I am a linguist. I love to get new knowledge about languages even if I don't speak them. Language is a very important part of a culture and even a few native words can tell a marvelous story of the people and their traditions.
Travelling is one of the ways I extend my linguistic and cultural knowledge. I spent one semester in Finland from where I traveled to Sweden and Danemark. Also, I visited Germany, Estonia, Italy, Poland, Cyprus, Monaco, Swiss, and Russia, of course.
I plan to travel to Iceland in April and would like to find a host for offering my help and discovering Icelandic culture from the first hands.
I study linguistics at University doing my Ph.D. now and being an exchange student in France in 2018-2019. I can share my knowledge of English and French and help to learn Russian which is my native language. I used to live in the countryside and was involved in my mom's gardening. Back home, I have a lovely cat and a very nice dog. The last thing I would like to add to my skills is cooking. Not professional of course, but I enjoy it and will be happy to help in the kitchen by maybe offering traditional Russian dishes.
I am not a smoker, don't have a drivers license, I am not a vegetarian and I have no allergies.
