My name is Phil and I am a 24 year old from the UK. I am about to become a junior doctor and will be travelling around Africa in my last summer prior to starting work.
I am an outdoor enthusiast, who is passionate about teaching and has taken on a number of previous voluntary roles in my summer holidays. These have included, working on general maintenance for a family in Spain, helping children in spain learn to speak English and helping organise activities at a outdoor camp in Malaysia (two years). Specific skills include first aid training, animal care (I own a black labrador), teaching ( I have taught a number of first aid classes, maths and science back in the UK) and tourist support (previous voluntary and travel experience has meant I have shared my own experiences with other people frequently)
I consider myself easy going yet hard working and willing to try almost anything. In my spare time I enjoy hanging out with friends, running and swimming and reading.
