I'm an undergraduate student from the States, where I study "Writing Seminars" (journalism, fiction, poetry, etc.) alongside the "GECS" program (Global Environmental Change and Sustainability) at the Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland. For the past six months, I've been living and studying abroad in Seville, Spain through direct enrollment at the university there. I speak English and Spanish.
My hobbies and interests include: Nature, Hiking, Backpacking, Travel, Yoga, Ecology, Sustainability, Writing, Poetry, Reading, Human Rights, Horses.
I am specifically interested in working in the Lake District of England, as I love the great outdoors as well as the poets Wordsworth, Southey, and Coleridge. During my spring break this past April, I went backpacking through the area, spending the majority of my time in Keswick. I completely fell in love with the fells and lakes and have been wanting to return ever since.
I'm very adaptable and open to trying new things and various types of work. I have great interpersonal skills, and I love working with and getting to know people of all ages and backgrounds. I especially have a lot of experience working with kids. That being said, I'm also very independent and self-sufficient. I don't need to be constantly entertained; I am happy to venture out on my own or sit quietly and read or write. I'm hard worker and a quick, energetic learner and I would put my all into whatever kind of task needed to be done.
I am not a smoker, I have a drivers license, I am not a vegetarian and I have no allergies.
