Çağdaş has four years of experience in the private and nonprofit sectors. He has obtained his Ph.D. in Science in International Relations from the Ege University in Turkey. While working as a Research Executive under Etik Research Company, he executed qualitative and quantitative marketing and social research in Turkey. He was responsible for data analysis, field management, and reporting activities. Çağdaş also volunteered in a nonprofit organization in Romania for a long-term European Union project. He worked with teenagers in a rural community. This project was about anti-discrimination and the introduction of European values. He operated with a group of 9 people from different parts of Europe. Apart from these, he worked at Yaşar University European Union Center in Turkey. He prepared European Projects (KA1, KA2, and KA3) for National Agency and finished Migration-Security Nexus in The EU Jean Monnet Summer School. In addition, he has another international experience in Lebanon, where he worked as an intern at a Belgian nonprofit organization. There he handled communication, marketing strategies, and project development about Syrian refugees. When he was a student, he participated in International Students Week in Ilmenau (ISWI 2009) – Ilmenau Technical University in Germany and Erasmus Intensive Program Summer School on Good Governance Stanislaw Staszic College of Public Administration in Bialystok, in Poland. Afterward, he joined the Turkish-Armenian dialogue project funded by the American embassy. He prepared a workshop and assisted in a short film about Turkey-Armenia relations. He has been a Ph.D. degree based on International relations and his thesis has been selected International Relations Department Best Doctoral Dissertation Award in Turkey. Through these experiences, he developed strong project coordination and implementation skills. He learned to adapt to multicultural working conditions, focus on details and use interactive learning methods. Çağdaş enjoys focusing on the topics of human rights, democracy, civil society, sustainable life, and the environment. He has a volunteer WWOOF. He is interesting in organic agriculture, multicultural organizations especially young people.
His biggest achievement in the project management area has participated in the long-term European Union (KA1) project in Craiova, Romania. Although He started the project as a volunteer, He had a good experience by taking full responsibility for the project in a short time. In this context, He was closely interested in all kinds of problems, especially the harmony and coordination of the project team consisting of 12 people from various countries. As a result of the activities He carried out with this team, he had the chance to reach approximately 1200 high school students in Craiova. He provided these young people with information about European values, Human rights, anti-discrimination, LGBT rights and exchange programs. His main activities, which are also open to the participation of local people, are: Actions of promoting book reading, Good Manners School, European Voluntary Service Caravan. In this context, He contributed to the personal development of many young people. He still has them in conversation.
Since his application process to the project started with volunteering, He took the first step for his project experience by following the procedure for project applications. He found a host and a sending organization for join the project. Then, He prepared a motivation letter and various documents for the project. After involved in the project, He took the responsibility of 12 friends from various countries who also shared the same house. Until the end of the project, He tried to create the motivation necessary to eliminate the incompatibilities between friends, especially the adaptation problem and the language problem, and to run the project more efficiently. He also prepared the necessary documents of these friends about the project. In the time remaining from the activities, He helped the employees of the host organization's office. He organized many activities within the framework of the project and managed the web page and social media accounts related to the activities he did. During the project, He attended Romanian lessons, two hours a week. He made very strong friendships from all over Europe, especially Romania.
