Examples of eco projects include but are not limited to:
Gardening and farming: A family may want some help restoring their estate or bringing an abandoned farm to life.
Your assistance may be required in gardening, farming, animal care and general maintenance. Imagine preparing fields and growing cocoa, banana and mango crops. Or building shelters for chickens, ducks, horses and other farm animals.
Composting and allied activities: A composting or recycling project may aim to reduce waste in an impoverished area. This activity can be paired with roadside tree and garden maintenance, and/or watering, weeding and organizing the community nursery.
Campus landscaping project: An eco project may involve green practices such as reducing the use of pesticides or planting native vegetation. You may be asked to assist with the non-technical aspects of environment research, such as collecting samples. Such projects are bound to be both adventurous and good learning opportunities for any eco-minded volunteer.
In return for your contribution, you will receive free accommodation and meals courtesy of your host. Save a small fortune in travel costs while building authentic connections with the local people and culture. Register now to see the range of environment-oriented projects posted by hosts.

As a host with eco projects you will learn to cooperate with and take care of your volunteer(s). You’ll be able to get more work done without any huge increases in costs. Furthermore, a host will learn more about the country, background, culture and lifestyle of their travelers – it’s a great experience and exchange.
